The Crashfish has a unique and extreme defense mechanism — a symbiotic relationship with Sulfur Plants where it incubates inside the plant pod, exploding when threats approach. The sulfur-rich environment provides both shelter and fuel for its explosive detonation.

Survival Tips
- 1Crashfish always nest inside Sulfur Plants — the distinctive purple-orange bulb-shaped pods. Avoid interacting with them unless you need Sulfur Crystals.
- 2If a Crashfish launches, swim directly backward at full speed with the Seaglide. It has a short range and will detonate harmlessly if you create distance fast enough.
- 3You can destroy a Crashfish safely by shooting it with the Propulsion Cannon's gravity grab — pick it up and release it away from you before it detonates.
- 4The explosion deals up to 60 damage to the player and can badly damage a nearby Seamoth. Keep vehicles well away from Sulfur Plant fields.
- 5Crashfish are stationary until triggered — once you know where a pod is, simply swim around it to avoid them entirely.
